Hi All,

Last Week, a new version of Windows Server VNext Preview (aka Windows Server 2025) was made available

I’ve downloaded the ISO

Then uploaded it to my VMware ESXi Datastore

Installation Screenshots

I’ve blogged about the last Windows Server VNext Preview Build 25941 and it seems that the installer had become a makeover.

Here is the Logon Screen - seems the Timezone Settings are not yet right

Diagnostic Data

  • Include Optional
  • Required Only

Used the classic “winver” command to show the Windows Version

The Azure Arc Agent is installed by default

You can launch the Azure Arc Setup from the Icon in the Systray

Schema Updates

I figured out, that Windows Server 2022 has a Schema Version 88. So these are the new Schema Updates 89 and 90 are covered in my previeous Blog Article. In this Version an addiitional Schema extension sch91.ldf has been added.

Seems some more Extended-Rights are added.
