Out of Band Updates for March 2024 Updates on Domain Controllers

Hi All,

You have probably heard about the Problems with Kerberos Requests and LSASS Memory leaks on Windows Domain Controllers after the March 2024 update.

Issue with Kerberos requests on domain controllers may cause LSASS memory leaks

A few days ago, some Out of Band Updates where Published - but they are only available for Download. They are not available via Windows Update.

March 22, 2024—KB5037422 (OS Build 20348.2342) Out-of-band

Out of Band Updates:

Windows Server 2022: KB5037422
Windows Server 2019: KB5037425
Windows Server 2016: KB5037423
Windows Server 2012 R2: KB5037426

Windows Server 2022

You have to download the Updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog

Click on the *.msu File to download

Install the Update

Windows Server 2019

Windows Server 2016

Make sure, you have enough free Space on your harddisk - otherwise the Update Fails (Requires about 7 - 8 GB Free Diskspace)

Event if you don’t have enough free space on your Harddisk
