Entra Connect Sync 2.4.129 released

Hi All,

By coincidence I’ve stumbled across the Entra Connect Sync Update 2.4.129. It’s released for Auto Upgrade.

I am running currently Entra Connect Sync 2.4.27.0

• Microsoft Entra Connect: Version release history

If it has been released at 01/15/2025 then it’s over three weeks - enough time for the Auto Upgrade to kick in i guess.

• Microsoft Entra Connect: Automatic upgrade

Auto Upgrade is enabled and no SuspensionReason has been set.

Get-ADSyncAutoUpgrade
Get-ADSyncAutoUpgrade -Detail

Also the EventLog Source “Microsoft Entra Connect Upgrade” does not exist on my Application Log

No Events with EventID 300-399

• Download Microsoft Entra Connect

It’s still a bit a mess with the Product Names. The Product Name is “Microsoft Entra Connect Sync” but the Title ist “Microsoft Entra Connect” and you download “AzureADConnect.msi” 🫣

Installation

I’ve downloaded the MSI and here are the Installation Screenshots

Configuration complete - Installation successful

Let’s check the Version

I’ve started another Delta Sync

Import-Module ADSync
Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta

You can find the Entra Connect Sync Version in Entra ID.

Identity > Hybrid Management > Microsoft Entra Connect > Connect Sync > Microsoft Entra Connect Health > Sync Services > Tenant > Server > Settings > Syncronization
