Celebrating 3000 Blog Articles
Hi All,
I am pleased to share a personal milestone: this marks my 3,000th blog article.
I published my first post in November 2007—nearly two decades ago. Since then, I have been writing about a wide range of topics including Exchange, Outlook, PowerShell, ESX, SQL, and Active Directory—essentially anything I encountered that felt valuable to document or share.
Over the years, I have continued blogging consistently. What started as a way to capture knowledge for my own use evolved into something larger. I have learned a great deal from the community, and contributing back has been both rewarding and motivating.
Statistics
Using PowerShell, I calculated the number of days between November 2007 and the end of this month:
New-TimeSpan -Start 2007-11-01 -End 2026-06-30
This results in 6,816 days. With 3,000 blog posts published, that equates to an average of approximately:
6816 / 3000
Over the past 19 years i’ve written every other day a Blog Article
In other words: Over the past 19 years, I have published a blog post roughly every other day. This is an average I am genuinely proud of, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue sharing knowledge with the community.
Personal Growth & Impact
Beyond the numbers, blogging has had a significant impact on my personal and professional growth. It helped me deepen my understanding, structure my thoughts, and continuously learn.
It also played a key role in building my network within the community — which ultimately contributed to being recognized as a Microsoft MVP.
Motivation
What kept me going over the years was not just the habit, but the value it created — for myself and for others. Writing things down made troubleshooting easier, and sharing them often helped others facing similar challenges.
Community
The community has always been a major source of inspiration. I have learned a tremendous amount from others — through blogs, forums, and discussions — and contributing back has been incredibly rewarding.
Evolution of Topics
Looking back, the topics have evolved alongside the industry — from on-premises technologies like Exchange and Active Directory to cloud services, automation, and security in Microsoft 365 and Azure.
Forward-Looking
And while 3,000 posts is a milestone I am proud of, it is not the end — just another step. I look forward to continuing to learn, share, and contribute to the community in the years ahead.
I am genuinely proud this milestone — but even more, I am grateful for everything it has enabled along the way.
Thanks
Thank’s to all who have supported me along the way 🤩
Regards
Andres Bohren
